A school assignment to illustrate the book cover of my favourite book.
The theme is very sad as it tells a story of a young woman's life who decides to take her own life.

In the design, I wanted to engage with the emotions that the main character describes in the book without becoming too melancholic. The main character is wrapped in the clay bands of her 13 stories, which pull her downwards. The sky with the stars represents the infinity into which she falls.

As a small second job, we were asked to create an animation of the illustration so that it could be used as an e-book cover.
